Wabash & Erie Canal Park in Delphi is proud to announce its latest round of historic trades classes for spring 2024! The mission of Canal Park is preservation, education, and recreation, and learning 19th century trades is one of the best ways to keep Indiana’s heritage alive.

Classes will be offered on a variety of subjects, and each session will be taught by expert instructors who have years of experience and a lifelong passion for their craft. Learn how to make your own bucket by hand with the Coopering class. Weave yourself something useful in the Weaving class. Make a hearth broom, create a needle felted ornament, spin your own fibers, make a basket or pine needle bowl, or make a quilt or sunbonnet!

The best part of the classes: you get to take home whatever you create, all under the helpful guidance of our instructors! The class fee includes all necessary materials unless otherwise specified.

All classes will be held at Wabash & Erie Canal Park at 1030 N. Washington Street in Delphi. Classes will run between late April and early June, so don’t miss out on your opportunity to learn a new skill and have a blast at the same time!
